About tuca tuca
Hi there, I’m Yoshino. I am a Japanese who fell in love with Italy.
On the store TUCA TUCA, we have many beautiful jewels inspired by Italian architecture. All of them are handcrafted and made in Rome at the Co.Ro. Jewels lab.
The name of this store, “TUCA TUCA”, comes from an Italian word; the verb “toccare", which means touching someone, touching something or being moved. Knowing the different meanings of this word, I would love to let you touch these fascinating, special jewels with your own hands and to talk about the philosophy of the designers, the history of Italy and of its antique and also modern architectures. I hope that these things will touch your heart. and I would like you to have a new experience through these wonderful jewels. For this reason, I gave the name TUCA TUCA to my store.
Established in 2012, Co.Ro. is a Rome-based handcrafted jewelry line inspired by architecture design in its broader term.
Through the skillful use of the lost-wax casting and 3D print techniques, the founders – two young female entrepreneurs named Costanza De Cecco e Giulia Giannini – craft timeless jewelry pieces with a sophisticated flair out of gold, sterling silver, bronze and ruthenium.Co.Ro. creates unique jewelry pieces blending a careful research on spaces, volumes and shapes with the ancient traditional Italian craftsmanship.
Co.Ro. / cò·rò / noun /
1. Literally, “coro” – choir / kwaɪə in English – in Italian refers to a group of people who sing together. Hence, the vision statement of this fine jewelry line: like orchestra leaders, Co.Ro. unifies, sets the tempo and creatively shapes the outcome of the ensemble, composed by fine Italian artisans instead of musicians.
2. Co.Ro. takes its cue from the merge of COllegio ROmano: the charming Roman square located between Piazza Venezia and the Pantheon, where the two co-founders met during high-school.
3. Handmade and artisanal luxury jewelry inspired to timeless architectural shapes, strongly committed to the made in Italy philosophy.
